Tom is developing a broad civil litigation and public law practice. Tom joined the firm after clerking for five justices of the Supreme Court of British Columbia. This followed on from his LLM research at the University of British Columbia, where he studied the intersection of Canadian environmental and international law, and published an article on access to environmental justice in Canadian Environmental Assessment.
Tom attended law school at the University of New South Wales in Australia, where he graduated with honours. During law school and his undergraduate studies in international development, he was awarded an NCP scholarship and was the recipient of multiple dean’s list awards. During his studies in Australia and Canada, Tom was an active volunteer with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and Australian Aboriginal Legal Service, where he helped provide legal services to people in need of pro-bono assistance.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys cooking, skiing, rock climbing and enjoying the outdoors of BC in any way he can.
